If the police are telling the truth and some of these men were violent, then TotD won't argue that the officers had a right to defend themselves. What concerns us, though, is that TASERs are seeing use in situations where the police are not threatened (as we have documented multiple times since we started in September). This and a lack of police accountability was cause for concern when the weapons were marketed as alternatives to "lethal force," but now, with irrefutable evidence that tasering somebody can kill them, it's terrifying.
